What is Female Infertility?
Female infertility is a set of underlying medical issues that causes problems in conceiving naturally. It affects the ability to get pregnant naturally, even after trying to conceive for over a year with unprotected sex. Along with facing problems in conceiving, recurrent miscarriages is also a part of female infertility.
Female infertility is caused when there is some disturbance in the normal functions of the reproductive system like in Ovulation, Implantation and Hormones.
The main symptom of male infertility is an inability to make the female partner conceive. There are no other obvious symptoms of male infertility.
Also, if there is an underlying health condition that affects fertility, one can see certain symptoms. These symptoms include:
- Ejaculation issues
- A small volume of semen
- Reduced sexual desire
- Issues with maintaining an erection
- Inability to smell
- Swelling, pain or lump in the testicle area
- Low sperm count
- Decreases hair growth
- The risk of infertility increases with the effect of any of the following factors. Have a look –
- Stress
- Poor diet
- Athletic training
- Being overweight or underweight
- Tobacco smoking
- Alcohol
- Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
